You need to gain control over your device. If your not sure what that is or how to do it you can visit XDA developers. You need to gain full access to your device if you are worried about spyware or someone watching you. You can install a custom android operating system on your device and be totally sure you are the only one that operates your device. I never mess with apple or iPhone because it is not open source. Stick with android and you will always truly own your device as long as you stay rooted and run custom Roms.
